I’m a recent graduate of Syracuse University, with a dual major in Women’s and Gender Studies & Advertising. One major was all about being critical of the well-oiled media machine – and one taught me how to be the best cog in that machine.

I’m a co-founder and treasurer of SU’s first feminist magazine, Medusa. You can read our blog here. I was the president of SASSE – Students Advocating Sexual Safety and Empowerment, and was the executive producer of the Vagina Monologues at SU in 2011. I loudly and clearly identify as a feminist.

I was in the Syracuse University Marching Band, the SourSitrusSociety (the basketball pep band), and I’m a sister of Tau Beta Sigma – the National Honorary Band Service Sorority. I rang the Crouse chimes on campus (follow us @chimemasters). I am a woman who does entirely too much.

I’m interested in analyzing the world – social norms, ideologies, ideas, conventions. I want to dismantle existing power structures. I want to think critically about everything – media, language, clothing, everything else. And how all oppressions are interrelated. I want to have meaningful discussions. I want to make people think. I want to fix the ad industry and save the world.

I’m an organizer with SlutWalkNYC. Most of my views on life and living are summed up in our mission statement.

I’m a lefty, a Mac user, a Met fan, and a Jew by proxy. I love carbs.
